This is good info Steve. It stands to reason that this is a stand out article that deserves a standing O. As it stands right now I am sitting and I’ll have to sit on this one for a while. I can’t stand when I learn how unhealthy I am. I guess I’m a sitting duck who will die in 15 years.
Interesting post, Steve. I think you may have missed a danger in your list – blood clots. They are the reason you get those goofy exercise videos on long flights and docs tell you to get out of your car every two hours on long drives. I recently drove from Texas to Indiana and ended up with multiple clots in my leg and emboli in both lungs! Spent 4 painful days in the hospital. The ironic part – I am a marathoner and I hate sitting!
That is an excellent reminder. Sorry you had to go through the pain. Thanks for adding your comment! You are absolutely right. Very interesting study. Actually today when I went to Starbucks, I stood at one of the tables for a couple hours to answer email and work on a paper, instead of sitting! Thanks for visiting the blog. I hope you enjoy further posts. Glad you recovered for the clots. Keep on running!
