The LI-5 is Leader Impact-5: Live well, Love deeply, Lead courageously, Learn continuously and Leave a legacy. This is the first edition to summarize and highlight great insights in these 5 areas that I have read lately. Enjoy and learn with me.
Live Well: Walking has tremendous benefits for health. Physical health: walking does not burn a ton of calories, but it does burn some fat, strengthen your legs, engage the core, and improve your heart health. Emotional health: eases stress, tension, anger. Mental health: gives time to think and process and ease confusion. I would also add…Spiritual health: it is a time to pray for others, for yourself and realign your priorities with God’s heart. The Perks of Walking [infographic]
Love Deeply: These challenging words and reflection remind me to love my wife, family and those dearest to me midst the busyness of life, work and ministry. 10 Signs you Might be Married to Your Ministry by Doug Fields.
Lead Courageously: Being a leader can be dangerous. This blog reminds me to make two courageous decisions. Worth the read! Dangers Leaders Face from the resurgence blog.
Learn Continuously: One of the best ways to learn is to ask questions: Ron Edmondson’s blog on 12 Great Leadership Questions offers great questions that can open my eyes to “see what only a leader can see”.
Leave a Legacy: Michael Hyatt reminds me that I am just One Stupid Decision Away from destroying my legacy. Powerful!
