Actions That Require VALOR

VALOR.   Websters online dictionary defines it as, “strength of mind in regard to danger; that quality which enables a man to encounter danger with firmness; personal bravery; courage…”. I like what Ambrose Redmoon said. “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear.”

We all need courage and valor at times.  When we face fears, we need to remember other things like relationships, our character, our faith, personal transformation, our dreams are all more important!

Here are five actions that require VALOR:

Verbalize your need for God and for others.  This not only takes valor, but some humility as well.

Admit when you are wrong and ask for forgiveness.

Live our your faith and love God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength no matter the cost.

Overcome a limitation, bad habit or destructive behavior by owning the responsibility and opening up to friend for accountability and support.

Risk.  Risk being vulnerable. Risk changing. Risk loving the unlovable and defending the unpopular. Risk following your dream.

Risk standing up for something you believe in. Risk saying, “No” to others to whom you look for approval. Risk.

What fear are you facing that requires valor?
